As a Wesleyan Christian church and member of the Global Methodist Church denomination, we affirm the core Christian beliefs as held by the church for the last 2,000 years, including an emphasis on the authority of Scripture, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and the work of the Holy Spirit. We believe in one God, the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus is fully God and fully human, the only Son of God, and the savior of the world through his death and resurrection. We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God, serving as the true rule and guide for faith and practice in all aspects of life. We recognize the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper as outward signs of an inward grace, and we celebrate a open Christian table, welcoming all confessing Christians to receive holy communion among us, rather they attend Salem regularly or not.
